In a measure to prevent Britain’s denizens to reach a landmark of 70 million, David Cameron has recently announced that the government is planning to cut the Immigration by a huge margin of 75%. The expected increase has been stimulated by an exceptional hike in the birth rather than Immigration, but officials find the step of cutting Immigration as an easy way to curb the population growth.
He wants to see the Immigration, the way it was in 1990s, and said that it should be kept within the tens of thousands each year. It would further mean that almost immigrants a year would be granted the permission to settle down in Britain. He also elaborated on Tory plans to cut the £178billion budget deficit further.
As far as the Immigration aspect is concerned, David Cameron said that he is more worried about the pressure created by the rise in population, especially with an increase in the foreign immigrants. Although the country has benefited from Immigration but UK, at the same time, is falling short of services like health, education and housing, to name a few.
He said that he is not at all in favor of the population climbing to 70 million; therefore, Tory administration would set an annual Immigration cap on the basis of the UK economy. Also, the Tories would require the foreign student visa holders to pay an amount of £6,000, which would be repaid only when the students would go back to their country of origin. With all these amendments going on the Immigration rules, it is best advised to take guidance from an Immigration and Visa expert for your application process.
