As per a report, the month of January was a pretty busy one for Canada’s different Provincial Nominee Programmes (PNPS), especially the ones that have an arrangement with the Canadian Federal Express Entry Programme. The two Express Entry draws, duly carried-out by Ottawa in the month, were accompanied by the launch of as many as five Express Entry-aligned PNP streams through the month.
The applicants for Express Entry with a provincial nomination obtain 600 points more toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) total, and this, in the process, improves their chances of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residence (PR) in the nation.
Ontario
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Programme (OINP)’s Human Capital Priorities Stream was a fairly active Express Entry-aligned PNP Stream in the month even as the same carried-out two invitation rounds in a single week.

The Human Capital Priorities Stream facilitates the OINP to rake through the Express Entry Pool for those aspirants in the Federal Skilled Worker Programme (FSWM) Class and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) who have a CRS total of not less than 400 points, and who fulfill other eligibility requirements as well.
The province doled-out a total of 720 Notifications of Interest in the two invitation rounds for Human Capital Priorities, in the month of January. This is one detail that the OINP presently shares along with the CRS score range for every individual round, and the date range when its exploration of the Express Entry pool occurred.
Significantly, the addition of these specifics is a fresh event for the OINP, which is reportedly putting out all stops to make transparency better and in agreement with the new Ontario Immigration Act.
The two other Express Entry-aligned streams of the province–namely, the Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream & the Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream–also became available in January. However, the OINP has still to come out with a report involving the NOIs given via the said streams.
The OINP employs the streams in question on the lines of the Human Capital Priorities Stream, to comb the Express Entry Pool for those applicants who cater to their eligibility requirements, and who can swiftly become a key component of the province’s labour market & societies.
