Changes in New Zealand Working Holiday Visa!

It has been announced by Immigration New Zealand that starting from 1 October 2010, certain changes would come into effect regarding the New Zealand Working Holiday scheme applicable for the Chinese nationals.

The amendments are done in the requirements needed get a New Zealand Working Holiday Visa. As far as the new requirements are concerned, here is the list:

  • The applicant intending to apply for Immigration New Zealand is needed to give a senior high school qualification. In addition to that, it is mandatory that it should be  verified by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Centre (CDGDC)
  • Also, the applicant is required to show a certificate from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). It becomes essential to show a score of an average level of 5.5 over the four components.
  • The IELTS certificate is one of the most critical documents for the applicant to demonstrate his proficiency in the English language. The new visa requirements demand a good score in IELTS.
  • In addition to that, one must give all the necessary paper work, along with the verification from the CDGDC and the IELTS certificate demanded by the New Zealand Immigration branch which is processing our visa application.
