On last Sunday, in the Central Park of Canada, immigrants from overseas have celebrated the day through various activities. They had painted their faces with vibrant colours, played soccer, did fishing, and placed stalls displaying dresses, jewellery, and foodstuff across the world.
Canadian immigrants flourished the beautiful colours and quirks of their homelands for an ‘Immigration Celebration’ of new comers to Winnipeg. There were 5 musical bands who played almost all types of music, from Latin ballads to hip hop music.
The stalls were displayed by the park on Edmonton Street during this event. A sense of happiness can be felt among the immigrants with their migration to this new state and at the same time a deep feeling of pride can be seen in their expression for their native-lands.
This beautiful event was organized by the Immigration and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba. Many immigrants who were present at the celebration either live or previously lived in the sponsored housing provided by this organization.
On this occasion of Immigration Celebration, the organizer of this event has said that overseas immigration makes the neighborhood a vibrant and better place.
