It would not be wrong to say that an immigration law in the lines of the one in Arizona is definitely a lucrative proposition for any politician in the United States. The main reason for this is the popularity of the law as it tends to shift the focus from the economic difficulties that the nation is going through to a minority section of the residents in the nation. And so, an immigration law in Florida is the latest in this regard.

According to the sponsor of the bill, Sen. Mike Bennett, R-Bradenton, the target is to remove the criminal and the gang aspect from the state. The law is to be implemented to bring those to justice who were involved in criminal offences.

However, it does not make sense to support such a proposal which is divisive in nature and tends to threaten the freedom of the Americans. At the same time, the supporters assure that the proposal would not involve racial profiling.
