The question which I am often asked is that “Is Australia still a good Immigration destination? Should one still look at Australia as a prospective destination to make one’s career and live permanently, despite all the racial occurrences which happened in the last few months?”

These questions are bothering a lot of Asians, especially Indians IT professionals who are looking to make it big in the land of Kangaroos!

Another issue to know here is that, already there are so many Asians and Indians residing in Australia that their quantity is looking to outnumber the local residents!!! In this case, you as a prospective immigrant should understand that local Australians may have certain apprehensions in their minds that you as new immigrant may take up the already present job opportunities available in the country. A feeling of insecurity might pop up in their minds too, knowing the fact that each year so many foreign nationals immigrate to their country!

Why talk about Australia, look within a country like India itself, where discrimination is common in various parts too! What would you call it then?

So, new immigrants should have a natural acceptance of this fact rather than feeling bad about it. One should NOT call it RACIST at all! Rather they should go into Australia with an open mind and adapt to countries’ culture.

Plus, Australia is already having business collaborations with Indian counterparts. The overall contribution in economies of both the countries is mutual. Hence, there is no point in thinking negative about this beautiful country called Australia! Immigrate with full confidence!
