Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program- Health Professionals!

The Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program allows those international health professionals to apply for immigration under its category for Health Professionals who have already been working in the Canadian province as full-time, regular workers on a temporary work permit. International health professionals who intend to apply for the SINP must have worked in the province for a minimum period of 6 months.

The category of Health Professions is further divided into 3 sub-categories;

  • Physicians,
  • Nurses; and
  • Other Health Professions

When it comes to Physicians, the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program lets the province nominate qualified physicians who meet the educational, as well as professional requirements for an employment in the province.

Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses or Psychiatric Nurses are eligible to immigrate to Saskatchewan under the sub category of Nurses of the SINP’s Health Professionals. All the applicants need to fulfill the educational and professional requirements demanded by the employment in Saskatchewan.

In order to be able to immigrate under the Other Health Professions category of the SINP, health professionals must have been working in health occupations in the province at the time of filing applications. These health occupations must be recognized by the appropriate licensing body in Saskatchewan.

In other words, applicants of the Health Professionals category are required to fulfill the following:

  • They must be working in the province of Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit; and
  • They must have an offer of full-time permanent employment.
