Some specific immigration programmes, such as Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programmes, Live in Care Giver Visa, Quebec Skilled Workers Programme are widely used to acquire PR in the nation.

A PR Visa allows foreign applicants to live and work in the country indefinitely. However, they are not regarded as Canadian citizens. It has been reported that every year approximately 200,000 people become the nation’s new permanent residents.

Canada PR Requirements

Express Entry:

  1. Submit language test score, such as IELTS. The score is valid for two year.
  2. Applicants are required to submit their Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). The report is valid for up to five years.
  • Applicants are required to create an online profile and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
  1. To qualify for the next round, the candidates are required to score at least 67 points, and
  2. Once Invitation to Apply (ITA) has been issued, the applicant must submit their health and character certificate.

Live In Care Giver Visa:

  1. Applicant must have a good command over English or French language.
  2. He must have a labor market opinion (positive) from your employer. It needs to be undertaken by your employer by submitting the employment contract mentioning work condition, salary and their inability to find the right applicant in the country by applying to HRSDC.
  • A legal contract with your employer, drafted in a format mentioned by the HRSDC.
  1. Must have passed at least secondary level degree or must have at least 12 years of education.
  2. The aspirants must have at least six months practical training in pediatric nursing, first aid, early childhood education and geriatric care or at least one year (full time) work experience as a care giver in the last five years.
