How would the test be?
The candidate taking the test will be asked to prove his or her identity in the beginning. This will be done by entering the personal information, and they will have to submit their photograph and Identity documents with the help of a webcam to proceed with the test. During the trial, the system will capture the candidate’s photographs to ensure the identity and the integrity of other tests that were taken online during the pandemic.
What would be the format?
The test duration would be 30 minutes, and there would be 20 questions to attempt, similar to that of the in-person tests that were conducted before the pandemic phase. The applicants must be able to score at least 75% to pass the test.
Candidates invited to give the test online will be informed through the mail, and they do not approach the Department for the same as notified by the IRCC. Further, the candidates can also wait to appear for in-person tests. However, they will be scheduled later, and till then, the applicants for Canadian citizenship will have to wait.
